Best clutch for about 500HP
i just wanted to know what the guy at ttp thought. or anybodies thought for that matter on ix clutches and what i should do. i have an idea but i just dont want to go ahead and drop in my clutch and then have it destroy my trans again. i would imagine that whatever clutches you guys are talking about goes for any evo.
sounds good. i think dogbox gets parts from shep though.. ttr gets parts directly from mitsubishi... so their prices slightly went up. i would go to shep but i dont wanna send in the transmission and the drive is a little far.... although it would be worth it. i know. shep is god of evo transmissions.... i would love to do business with them... but my car is a daily driver and its my ONLY car :-/ so i cant send in my transmission. depending on how far i have to drive i might be able to go there myself and hang out for a day or two.

The ACT HDTTP version street/strip clutch rated to 650tq is going to be the best shifting singledisc you can get with massive torque holding capacity and a light pedal feel that will not break your left leg. Its about a third of the cost of the EXEDY twin and is rated to hold more torque.
The clutch you bought with the full faced organic disc was not a good choice for your car. Some of the issue might be with the installation also. Under no circumstance should any clutch pop out of gear.

does anyone know what it means when all three of my acd lights turn on while driving?? this just happened to me... i keep turning off my car and turning it back on and they keep coming back... what gives?
Lets try and keep this thread on topic.
yeah it doesnt really matter which car the clutch is for... but to excaliburs question, im from jersey and there isnt that many places around me that do good work on evo's. but from my own personal experiances you should check out dogboxracing.com and turbotrix.com, those shops both do good work on evos. dogbox is known for doing good engine rebuilds and have some of the fastest dsm's.. very cheap too. highly recommended. theres also sean ivey in linden ( if ur familiar with the area) who does good work with dsm and evo's. for websites, try horsepowerfreaks.com. they seem to have alot of transmission options. ttp from this forum also has some good stuff. check it out... i mean im also having trouble finding a decently cheap price and good work because im unfamiliar with shops that do good drivetrain work. im sure other guys will post up some places. but the names i gave u is a good start.
