Yes, I was curious about this as well. Seemed like a pretty major issue in the beginning.

For now, it runs "ok" except for my turbo sounding like a broken down hoover vacuum. I have not had chips of piston come off in a loooong time. Not to say that couldn't happen at any point. So this is a major issue. I just have not addressed it yet.

Mitsu called told me an exhaust shield was loose and O2 sensor was a little shifted. So that is fixed. They fixed the recalls and I need an air filter. Other than that its ready to go haha!

Yeah... I said did you notice the whistling sound? The guy said he would drive it again and call me back.

Called me back and said the radio was making a whistling and they fixed a few grounding points and I am all set.

I guess I will pick it up . Maybe go there and drive it with a tech.

Interesting, I never heard of an O2 sensor being "shifted".

^This was just an observation by them which had no bearing on anything really.

Went back and drove it with one of the reps to point out the howling of the turbo... however there were no techs at the time so I have to bring it back.

Clearly the pistons have been damaged as I am slowly consuming oil and the fins of the turbo have been damaged.

Stay Tuned

Not as of yet. I got the car back and it runs "ok" as Mitsu claims. I gotta bring it back either this week or next with the SES light on to cause a stir and get them to pull the plugs and do a compression test to realize that there IS in fact a serious problem.
