FP RED or Dom 2?

Im looking to do a stock housing turbo upgrade. I was wondering if some people who have already did this upgrade can give me the pros and cons to both turbos. I plan on doing some drag and street with it. Every little bit of information will help me out.

I wanted to upgrade to a GT30R but everyone seems to be having trouble with them. The GT35R is an option, but I dont want to get that big of a turbo yet.

Thanks for the information so far.

^^^^ I can't comment on the Red as I haven't tuned one yet. Dom2 performed well though. Obviously the Red should have a little more in (or at least it should).

Forgot to mention, either one would be better off with an external gate

I would say either a FP Red or a TOMEI ARMS when it is released. The Garretts are not having much luck on the EVO X's.

Here is a fully tuned bolt-on evo x with an FP Red.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-dg-tuned.html

Here is a fully tuned bolt-on evo x with a blouch dom. 2.0

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ing-merge.html

Both turbos make the same power between 25-27psi on 93octane with full bolt-ons.

I will take the blouch dom. 2.0 over the FP Red for the evo x.

The blouch turbo can be bought and shipped to your door in a week.

The FP Red's wait time is horrible.

Read through the two threads and you will have all the information you need about both turbo selections you are thinking about. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

I have 5 months left in Iraq, so I have the time to wait for the turbo. Do you happen to know the parts list on both these cars?

I've also heard that their customer support is....lacking.

But, it will ultimately be up to the end user which turbo to go with. They are relatively equal in terms of performance. Personally I think it comes down to availability, support and price.
