I went to florida to visit my bro and hes got a stock evo x thats got a 1000 miles on it and noticed that there is a light tapping coming from the right side of the motor(when your standing in front of the car). It seems like its coming from the top of the motor. Just wanted to know if that was normal?. Hes had several probs with the paint already and Im hoping theres nothing wrong with the motor.

 

Sounds normal to me. I hear the same thing with my car and it has 22K miles.

 

I hear it too. Its especially audible while going through the drivethru of a fast food joint. But, the car runs top notch and my tune has no knock in it.

 

Injectors or light tappet sound, this is normal.
