AWC ECU Reprograming campaign
Not really. You're being dramatic. I have the original hood latch and my car doesn't catch fire every time I drive. And I've driven dozens of times in the snow down to -8* F, and at elevations of 11,000ft plus without any problems from the S-AWC or the car in general.
Aren't there WRX/STi guys on NASIOC guys with '08-'09s having whole motors replaced due to problems from the factory? Maybe they could use your pessimism over there.

With global warming, does anybody really need the recall?
Mine is done, that was quick and painless. The fuel line is same design as the old one, they put a new one in just in case that one was damaged and added two brackets. Once you reinstall the plastic cover. You would never know anything was different. The AWC reprogram takes less than 5 mins.

again i know this was asked ,but since you had it done will it mess with my ecutek flash and tune?
Same thing happened to me in Alaska.
wow i thought i was bad tripping last winter... it was like -30celsius out here... i start the car and when switching to SNOW mode, S-AWC service required popped up, and the car drove like crap, and the service manager at dealership told me i was on crack... yeah right. looks like a 3rd recall for my evo... sigh
I went to the dealer yesterday and my fuel line recall appeared on the computer but nothing about the AWC or hood latch. I even specifically asked about them but they said we have no information about that.
The AWC system should also come up on the Super Screen, but it also only applies to cars built within a certain date, vin range and sold within a certain geographical area. The hood latch may have been performed before you bought it or already updated at the factory.

I had my ACD pump replaced. 7+ hours of labor and a $4000 CAD part. Quite the bill at the end of it, first time I've ever had to use a warranty.
It noticeably "went" on a -35˚C day. Then the Service Required light came on and stayed on until I finally got the dealer to replace it almost 5 months later.
I'll take the reflash, thank you very much.
Such as myself

I've been wondering what was going to happen this winter since the pump and fluid is the same. I hope this is a fix for it although I thought it was a mechanical fluid problem, not something that could be solved by programming.
called south coast about the AWC ECU... "heard about it.. but nothing came in yet" im assuming its details to what should be done. also he said to call 888-mitsu-20 and have ur VIN num ready and they will give u details.. good luck everyone.
