Need new Fuel Rail

I'm really getting tired of all the noise my AMS fuel rail makes. The car sounds normal outside and in the engine compartment but from the cockpit (windows up) it sounds like a diesel idling. The guys at GST tuned the car on E85 a couple of weeks ago and couldn't understand what all the noise was about.

I even bought a -6AN union to swap out the Russell in-line filter that I added to make sure the filter wasn't causing any issues. I tried it without the filter tonight and it still sounds the same. Same noise with the stock injectors and the DW1000s.

The question is does anyone have any experience with the other rails on the market; Boomba, Cosworth, AFI, not sure if there are any others.

If I'm going to spend another $300, I want to make sure I fix the noise.

i think it's the injectors making the noise not the fuel rail

LOL...well..duh.

But the fuel rail amplifies that noise.

Clipse3GT has experienced the same thing as I have. Keep in mind that I have a quiet CBE so there is not a bunch of exhaust noise in the cabin to drown out the injector noise.

I'm still trying to get some feedback from anyone that has a Cosworth or other rail. Can anyone comment on their experience with using and aftermarket fuel rail related to cabin noise?

Thanks

I sat in t12ung's car the other day and it is completely quiet in the cabin. We had both cars running with the hoods open and his injector noise was much lower in the engine compartment. We are running the same DW1000s; he's on a Boomba rail and I'm on the AMS. The sound on my set up didn't change going from OEM injectors to DW's.

LOL i thought something was broken when I got to AMS and turned the car on after they had worked on it for 2 weeks...got out of the car and couldn't hear the same noise as inside the car.. but after asking found out I wasn't going crazy it was just the injectors and fuel rail being AMSish

Been driving for a couple months and just got use to it and tell others that get in that its a race car and its suppose to do that =)

Every time I call AMS about it they say they haven't heard of this before. I had the car apart again this weekend thinking maybe something else is wrong. I'm glad to hear that I'm not crazy. There must be some kind of resonance unique to the AMS rail.
