There are street cars that have that set up, yes. Loud as hell though.

You don't want to slow down the turbine wheel with excess back pressure. That's the reason for the larger exhaust sizes for given applications.

Thanks!

got back from ohio lol.. I guess u guys missed me Uploading it today.. The exhaust is up for grabs if anyone wants it along with the testpipe that mates the stock dp to this 3.5' beast.

The testpipe is necked down to mate with the stock dp but the 3.5" catback portion is a true 3.5" with no neckdowns. I will be pricing both pieces at $800 only + shipping.

Video will be up in a few hours.

Yes, that's correct, even though a 5" straight pipe out of the fender isn't very street friendly.

On a N/A car, you want to have the correct size exhaust to maintain velocity and exhaust scavenging, which helps draw exhaust out of the cylinder and fresh air and fuel in. On a turbo car, the turbo is the restriction and you want to spin the turbine wheel as early as possible and keep it at maximum boost as late as possible. To benefit a turbo car, you choose a manifold that keeps velocity high into the turbo, and the exhaust after the turbo you want as big and as free flowing as possible. This takes the most amount of backpressure off the turbine. If you think about it, backpressure will try to make the turbine wheel spin the opposite direction, which obviously is a bad idea and will slow it down. With little to no backpressure on the turbine, we let the turbo spool earlier and stay spooled longer, which gains power all the way through the powerband...low, middle and top end.

prodigy- what all else is you evo runnin for the exhaust set up dp track pipe etc? or is it just the cat back

scottspeed- right i know all that junk about n/a setups but thats what i was tryin to figure out if that tansfered over to a turbo. I.E. the exhaust velocity being higher means it will let the turbo spool more freely because the exhaust gasses want out asap rather than just flowing out of huge tube. but after reading article after article, it seems to be that is the case as far as what you said that the turbo itself is the only real restriction and bigger the better afterword.
