what determines and engines RPM max?

The aluminum block is the least of our worries. I think everyone is more worried with the semi open deck. The cylinders are the weak point if you'll be revving up to 9000 but the cylinders wont be aluminum, there's no way (of coarse im talking about if you have a built motor). i wanna know what the point of no return is with the cylinders.

Lots of Honda guys have pushed big power on full open decks. I wouldn't worry about it unless you are running huge cylinder pressures.
