Did you have to call them to see if they rebuild your ACD? It's not on their website that they perform that service for the Evo X ACD. Evo 8's and 9's for everything and Evo X transmission rebuilds, but no mention of the X t-case. Mine is trashed presumably because it was low on fluid. 31k and the line was just below the min mark and then it had the death gear whine on deceleration. Looking to replace a bearing vs. the whole unit.

U might want to keep a eye on the sound, i know if it gets worse and louder it could be really hard on the car

I have a little bit of a noise in gears 1-3, especially on cold starts. Kinda sounds like a vaccuum cleaner very briefly through the first three gears, but it goes away, usually after the first several shifts. Someone actually pointed it out to me awhile back and now that I pay attention to it every time. Doesn't get better or worse though.

Look at it this way...its either the tranny or the throwout bearing...more likely the throwout bearing in clutch and it cant be the tcase when u engage and disenage the clutch pedal you would still hear the whining sound if it was the tcase...check the tranny n throw out bearing buddy.
