Apexi RS exhaust

Im stuck between two CBEs.... the Apexi RS, or the T1R 76s. Im looking for something quiet, with little to no drone on the highways. There are a few vids of inside the cabin for the T1R at cruising speeds which sounds pretty quite. But theres nothing for the Apexi outside of an idle and stand still reving which doesnt really tell you much. I dont know much about T1R and there quality but I do know Apexi makes high quality stuff, which is why Im leaning more towards them. Both of these CBE have pretty much the same design with a resonator in pretty much the same location and the same style dual exit muffler which I want.

So..... any Apexi RS exhaust owners wanna share their first hand experiences / reviews.....? It would be much appreciated

I have one and I am actually looking to get rid of it b/c I want a 3 inch exhaust. Its very quiet like stock and has a nice throaty tone at idle w/ a test pipe. It wakes up and becomes noticeable around 5000 rpm and its not overwelmingly loud. It does have a fantastic tone though at high RPMs. It is a great exhaust if you want something nice and quiet under normal driving. I have had it on my car for about 6K miles. The fitment is perfect as well. This is probably one of the best sounding exhausts I've owned plus it is the only one with 5 inch tips for the Evo X. I hate to get rid of it, but it is too restrictive for my current setup.

Hey thanks for the post. I appreciate it.

I see how it says the piping diameter ranges from 70-75mm (2.75"- 3") but is there a significant section thats actually 70mm? In the few pics Ive seen of it, the only area that looks small is right after the resonator. Am I right? Or is there a good portion of it that is 70mm?

The mid pipe is 70mm and the inlet to the muffler and out to the tips is 75mm. So most of it is 70mm. It is definitely a good exhaust for power levels supported by the stock turbo or a stock frame turbo.

Oh wow, I didnt realize it was that restrictive. With that, Im probably going to go with the T1R then. Thanks for the info.
