Sorry for the dumb question, but how do I check for spark after pulling the plug? How do I check to see if I am getting fuel?

Thanks for the help guys! I will update some of these tomorrow after I've had more time to look it over. Keep suggestions coming please![/quote]

Pull the plug, hold it away from the cylinder so you dont light anything on fire, and have someone crank the ignition, see if there are any sparks.

Spark:
Easiest if had help, but you can set the plug somewhere where you can see it, while it is still plugged in and crank it. You can't miss the spark. The threads area needs to be touching ground.

Fuel:
I would start with just turning your key on and listening for the fuel pump's whine from under the rear seat. I hear it all the time in my car. If you don't hear it, then its not working. It will hum for a second when you turn your key from off to on and then stop, unless you start the car.

Get a test light, and start checking fuses in the engine bay, and underneath the steering wheel.

Hmmm I just installed the Invidia Q300 CBE yesterday. My car started right up like normal. Not sure what you could have touched underneath the car that would have any effect on it not starting. Might just be a coincidence that you happened to install an exhaust when it started to have a problem.

Uploaded new video from rear of car to listen for fuel pump priming in first post. I may be mistaken, but I don't hear the fuel pump priming, only a *tick-tick-tick* sound.

So you found fuel in the exhaust pipe? Wierd... maybe no spark for some reason. Unless you had a softball stuck in the piping it should have been fine.

I wouldn't say I had fuel in the exhuast, but it smelled of unburnt fuel. Probably from all my unsuccessful attempts to start the car. It's not like gas came pouring out when I dropped the exhuast

Ahh, well don't laugh but once when someone broke into my Eclipse GSX and stole the Super AFC likely thinking it was a piece of stereo equipment I limped the car home on 660cc injectors with the 450cc stock tune. I literally had fuel pouring out of the exhaust system, not the smartest move on my part but I wanted to get home.

Ha, nice! I had a E3-16G '99 GS-T which had the S-AFC2, so I know what a pain that must have been.

Let me guess... you're the guy who submitted this myth to mythbusters, amirite?

Trailblazers:
Will a flaming trail of gasoline from a moving vehicle catch up to its tank and cause it to explode?
