DW 1000cc Inj.

Hello,

Just purchased a set of DeatschWerks 1000cc Fuel Injectors.
They came sealed in the box, however they have some marks
On them, as if they were used. They were all covered with some
Cleaning material too (sonax or something). Is this normal?

Tks

They flow test every injector after manufacturing, perhaps this is what you are noticing.

It should have came with the data on the flow testing.

Did you buy them from a company or off ebay?

From a vendor here on evom which i won't disclose, as the purpose of this thread is to know if it's normal for these injectors to come in this condition when brand new.

Check the marks, they may be the injector numbers.
Mine came, box opened, with the cleaner covering them as you described. They are flow tested and matched before shipping out, no issues.

Just make sure you have o rings at the top and bottom of each injectors, the numbers match those on the flow chart (if provided), and the super lube they provide is still in the box.

I prefer to use clean motor oil to the lube they include. That lube just makes a mess.

I really question the performance of the DW1000. Apparently they use a totally different nozzle design when compared to their 800s and smaller. The smaller injectors had a multi-perforated nozzle which spread an equal mist when spraying. The new DW1000 has only one hole on its nozzle.

FYI: DW made their name through the performance of the multi-perforated nozzle design for the past few years. Im afraid this DW1000 will not perform as well. They actually removed the DW1000 line from production a few months back because of some issues they had with it. Hmm.......

How would you know if it wasn't performing? Pretty much anyone running E85 uses them, including Gates. My car runs...

It was told to me by one of their distributers/beta testers here in the tri-state.

I haven't heard anyone having any problems with the 1000's.

I also run them and my car works great.

This is the second set of DW1000cc we buy, but I didn't ope the 1st set to see if it came the same way or not (and the guy who installed it said he doesn't remember if they came the same way). Anyway, we installed this set and they work fine.

Tks
