Foam-Lg Thick Foam sleeve for fuel pump : $3.00
FlexHose8 8-inch Flex hose : $3.00
(2) HC4 stainless #4 hose clamp : $1.20
PkUp-Short Short pickup filter for denso-like pumps (someone needs to confirm this is the right one...) : $8.00

TOTAL: $15.20 + shipping.

As I mentioned, there is an excellent How-To thread that i posted above, whose link was blocked.

You're missing a fuel filter here. The pickup filter is just to keep the big crap from getting sucked into the pump; it is not a fuel filter. The stock fuel filter is integrated into the pump housing, and since you'll be removing this for the Walbro, you need to do something for an inline fuel filter.

Not sure I follow this - are you saying for E85 you need an inline fuel filter? I listed the pickup fuel filter as the last part on my previous post at $8.00, which fits inside the stock canister.

Agree with comments about questionable reliability for the DIY kit. I read around and there were some comments. I don't plan on running E85, but....you never know.

What Walbro are people going with? I've heard both the GSS317 and GSS342, with the GSS342 being higher pressure. however I heard this can cause issues below 500hp applications.

What is everyone looking at doing?

You need an inline for any fuel. It doesn't matter that I'm running E85. The plastic housing which has the stock FP has an integrated inline fuel filter. The pump sock is different from a fuel filter. The stock pump also has a pump sock. However, once you eliminate the stock FP housing, you also eliminate both the inline filter and pump sock. You've only addressed replacing one of those.
