Exhaust Choosing time

Hey all so i am in the market for a catback exhaust. I already have the test pipe (turbo xs) which i may add is a great test pipe! I dont plan on upgrading the downpipe till a bigger turbo which a ways down the road. I am set on the dual. But what my real question is, I am wondering if there have been any proven results on which exhaust flows best? Or which exhausts flow better than others? All input is accepted and appreciated! Thanks guys!

Edit: Edit: Any input, feedback, or review on which UICP to go with would also be great!

AMS UICP is really good, I was set on dual exhaust as well until i heard the AMS single exhaust in person and saw that gains on dyno. That changed my mind set from dual to single exhaust. I'll look through the pages again and remember the dual exhaust i had picked out before i decided to go with single AMS cbe

I too am looking for a catback system. I've seen and heard alot of them thru online videos, but i'm not sure if i can trust what i hear. I had my mind made up on a Tubro XS until someone told me, by experience that it rattled and was poorly made, which would explain the price. I can't do a single; not even if it could make the car fly; it jus don't look right. i've narrowed it down to GReddy Spectrum Elite and Apexi RS Evolution based on sound and looks, with the GReddy at a slight lead. The negative is that it only comes in 70mm(2.75") which would restrict "Veronica X" if she was to get a boost job, which i've heard requires 75mm(3") if you really wanna get the most potential. This is where the 3" Apexi closes the gap. What do you think?

If you ask 10 different people you are going to get 10 different opinions. If you ask 10 different vendors, you will get 10 different answers. Choose a 3" stainless steel system that you like and that fit your budget. Avoid one with sharp bends and one that necks down to less than 3" at the cat end. The Cobb, AMS, ETS and UR systems look pretty good.

Me too, actually. There's a couple of reasons why I don't blindly recommend it:

- it necks done at the CAT end and you have to weld a new piece of pipe in there with a new flange to get 3" throughout;

- getting it aligned and straight was a pain in the ***;

- the clamp at the rear did not hold the muffler up and I had to get it welded.

Overall, if you can take care of those issues, the end result is worth it and the price is right. Buyer beware.

I'm looking at either the Speed Circuit smooth or getting a complete turbo back from ETS. I like how both of them sound in person it's just a matter of deciding which one I want and getting the money together with all my other hobbies.

perrin cbe. i was looking for an exhaust thats quiet at idle, and low rpms, but sounds beastly but deep at WOT. also a main concern was highway drone, i hate it, and for that this fit me as well. the fitment was perfect and after 5k miles, it still shines like new. i like how it says perrin on the tips too, lol

Buschur byron. i'll take you for a pull in my car so you can see if you want. with exhausts, unfortunately there is no such thing as a "best flowing" exhaust without it being loud. they go hand in hand. show me one exhaust that is quiet and has the best flow, not gonna find it. that's where you trade off is. unless you get one that has a dump tube.

Sounds good i still havent had one yet. But oh having it loud is not a problem. Id actually prefer louder over quite. Right now the choices i have in my mind are UR, Buschur bullet, hks hi power, and ets.

EDIT: and CP-E dual

Ive got an AP dual exhaust and Ive got a lot of comments on how great it sounds, sounds deeper than most and when Bryan at GST was on the Dyno he said he liked it because it sounded good and it didn't cause vibrations in the Cab or anything which was his first experience for the X saying that all of the X's that he dyno'd before did vibrate.. So I'm happy I chose Agency Power.
