Yup, and perhaps he wanted a vehicle that can turn as well

USA cars are typically straight line cars...and strangely most of us, well i would say over 50% turn our evo's into straight line cars...more or less myself included

And probably twice as much.
I give it a 75% chance that its using a Garrett GT3076R CHRA; so Garrett's ball bearing center housing with the 60mm turbine wheel and 76mm compressor wheel.

The differences off the bat I can spot, as compared to the Garrett drop-ins, is no ported shroud on the compressor housing and the compressor housing looks smaller. Based on what Tomei does with their ARMS turbos, I'd be willing to bet the turbine housing is much smaller than the Garrett's too.

So numbers will prob be pretty similar to the Tomei Arms turbo, but a little better spool because of the ball bearing?

I am really interested in this turbo. Not only am i looking for the right stock like bolt on turbo, but HKS makes some great products. Im hoping from what i've seen, it will make more power then the Red but spool way soon because of the BB style turbo. More info please!

Same here. I 'was' waiting for the Tomei ARMS but this might sway me away. More info needed!

Funny, I never see people going into American part threads and saying the above statement about pro Japanese parts. Was it really necessary to let us know this earth-shattering information?

So the question becomes, how is this any different than the Garrett bolt-on turbos?
lol! FTW! i love how some people think that EVERY company makes their own stuff and have thousands of engineers working day in and day out haha. in reality most stuff is derived, if not replicas, of Garrett, Borg Warner, mitsubishi, or HTA billet wheels (which are derived from garrett) haha.

well um 2 different units mate and both made totally different.

all i say is hold back on the power stick mate ..your not pulling any aces nor holding any

FP make serious gear and that is not anything new.
But have you ever seen a bad HKS turbo?

i sell alot of their gear and your right it is expensive,
however it works and works well.

back on topic lads

I understand everything that you are saying. Yes your right I have yet to see a bad HKS Turbo kit, part of the reason for that is because who in their right mind would pay over 5k for a turbo kit thats not even going to break 500 whp. IMO I am just not impressed with HKS.
