Another update,

looks like my TWM SS is also shifting fine now. I installed it about 2 weeks before my clutch swap and I thought it made things significantly worse. Good thing I decided not to mouth off on TWM online. The Engine mount tightening seems to have fixed the isse with the shifter too. Damn, its amazing how much grief this mount issue caused me.

When I had the stock shifter with the rubber bushings, I think I wasn't seeing a problem because the rubber bushings allowed play in the shifter base to adjust to the Engine movement. Since I put on the metal bushings with the SS install, that flexibility was gone and the shifts became horrible under engine movement.

Intresting, I've been thinking of "window welding" my front mount but haven't b/c I just can't see how this could help with the shifting. I know others have reported that stiffer mounts help with shifting but it's hard for me to believe.

I may still WindowWeld it, but I will never use poly mounts on a DD car again!
