2005 R1 with Akrapovic Evo Full Exhaust

2008 R1 with Akra Evo

Pictures before the heat cycle. Titanium unburnt.

Absolute work of art. Akrapovic puts out really good stuff. I remember the 05 Evo system costing me about $2K back in 05. With the 08, dollar had dropped some compared to the euro. Increased the 08 Evo by nearly $750 or so. Well worth the money for the quality of products they put out. I don't know if I'd spend the some sort of money on a car though.

Just got mine on my X. AMS Downpipe with the akra downpipe back. Sounds beastily. No drone on the highway. Pretty much perfect. More vids in the future when it's light/I can rev higher then 5k due to breaking in the engine. Enjoy:

No real good angle of the CF tips, but that shall come in the future.

Also, you must have a test pipe from them if you're using the downpipe back version. They don't sell the HFC in the states since it won't pass emissions anyway.

exhaust looks and sounds amazing just wish that I could afford it. Looks built or designed amazingly well. I think it would look great on my car with the carbon tips.

Judging it by those pics, that looks like top quality. As far as price goes.. well.. you pay for top quality.

Toxin, what I'm curious about is if that design actually shows higher #'s on a dyno? Any chance of seeing that in the near future?

It was dyno tested to produce best results tuned or untuned at akrapovic home dyno... What kind of numbers it produces to a 3" straight pipe? Probably the same, while being half as loud... It's perfectly built and as light as it gets while giving you best results at the same time... That's what you pay for at Akrapovic... No compromises.

Like Toxin said, the quality is outstanding. The exhaust isn't much louder than stock at idle, and as far as I can tell is going to sound amazing at WOT. It's kind of hard to get pics of the tips, since it's never sunny this time of year. These are the best I could manage for now.

I think it's funny b/c in this pic it's hard to tell the exhaust is even there.

Pricing was a pain, but I'd do it again.
'Evolution' part (downpipe back) $3,300
Tips (choice of Ti of CF) $600

I never though I could run a test pipe and not have it be insanely loud/droney.

Is it really $4k? That seems a bit much even if the welds and materials are top notch.

Damn son! You could've just bought a turbo-kit, a down-pipe, kept the stock cat-back, and used the rest to buy booze, bishes, and ********.
