lost all power on interstate backfireing help please

i used to have po171 popping up couple times, now its gone, I never touch anything, wierd

could be 1 of the relay in the engine compartment box. near to the fuel relay, black color right hand side. that might also fail if your maf has failed.

just test all relays up in the box. sorry i cant recall the relay #/name but it controls hell alot of stuffs (found out when i was referring to the manual).

replaced 1 for my previous customer when he had some of yr indications and all went well after that.

just referred to the manual try relay A-34X MFI relay it is in the engine bay relay box located top right black color.

if you have the service manual goto circuit diagrams page 90-26

problem fixed thx for the help. u wont believe what was causing all the codes. here is a pic. i already removed the clamps but it was a small rubber hose that broke in half. that is why i could hear the pump running. but after pulling plugs today i realized there was no fuel on the plugs after i had been trying to start engine. so i pulled the fuel pump and after over a week with out my car im fixed and rolling thx for the help guys

wow good investigation and congrats on the fix. thx for sharing and i will make sure the hoses are good and clamped well but not too tight

Maybe it's just me but looks like they should have given you a hose that was a bit longer than that like an extra half inch longer

yes u r right. and i did install a longer hose so the pump was not hanging off the hose like a tire swing lol
