o2 elim/downpipe options: rexpeed vs MAP (they lowered their price!)

Rexpeed's downpipe looks damn decent, made in Taiwan but that doesn't scare me. $180+$30 shipping = $210 shipped.

MAP's downpipe was like $430 IIRC? They just dropped the price by *quite a bit* to $369, which is a damn good deal and inline with some of the other us-made downpipes out there.

I've seen reviews on both, but have yet to see real hard dyno data on each. I'm currently running a BBX on stock downpipe/o2 housing and its obviously a sub-par setup, need more exhaust mods! Price is not a massive issue, I'm willing to pay more for quality and performance. Just curious if the premium of the MAP pipe is worth it from people who have first-hand experience.

TIA!

I used the Ultimate Racing O2 downpipe (before going to GT35R and a custom piece) and was VERY happy with it. Construction was exceptional and made in North America. $350 is list on it I believe. I had it ceramic coated but that's your choice on whether to do that.

Thanks. I'm 85% sure I'll get it ceramic coated but unsure which actual unit I want. The Rex is so damn cheep its hard to not just slap that on and be done with it. On the flip side, MAP is local to me and I like the design a little better. I am trying to get the most out of my setup, so I'm looking for proven results.

It most certainly will if those other components are in stock position which I believe they should be

I just got the rexspeed. It looks totally clean. I mean, it looks better than any of the other pics I have seen of them on line, I can't even see where it has been welded on mine in the O2 housing side, it almost looks cast ( I know that it's not). But all of the other pics that I have seen of it online show very distinct weld lines on the inside and outside of the O2 housing, mine is clean and smooth, with no sight of welding. Possibly crome plating over. The welds on the rest of the pipe look increadible. It is a very nice peice. I am more pleased with it's constuction than anything else that I have bought for the car to date. I have not put it on yet.
