Installing ARP Studs in 4B11..need help

I'm in the process of reassembling the motor. Its a built shortblock with a fresh head. We installed ARP studs, however as I'm sure some of you may be aware, the casting on cylinder head closest to the front cover is a little different. When removing the stock bolts, I was able to stick a socket into and through the head, however I cannot get a socket through the head to tighten the studs...is there a trick or a special tool that is used? Thanks

Have you tried a thin wall socket, or maybe a stubby socket. Can you fit it through the bigger end, and slide it over?

I used a crappy 13 mm 12 point socket and shaved it to fit in the spacing on the head. Nothing else would work for me.

I was curious on if there is a certain way to do the 1 by 1 method on changing stock studs to arp without lifting and removing the head, where would I find the best info on this?
