Exhaust decisions are sooo hard!! ARK or T1R?

Ok, I think we can all agree that choosing an exhaust is terribly difficult. Any advice or experience will help. I was gonna go dual but now I think I want single. Idea and goal is good sound/performance and not to loud.

ARK Performance 76mm Single Exit

or

T1R 90R

Thanks!

Singles will drone hope you understand that... even with a resonated TP or HFC.

If you want quieter look into Perrin or T1R 76S both don't drone with resonated TP.

Pretty livable. I like to hear a good exhaust note, but I dunno if I could handle it 24/7 for years to come.

My single honestly doesn't drone all that much to be quite honest. I know the Megan is one of the "quieter" singles though. To me it actually drones just as much as my Perrin did.

To the OP, between the two exhausts you're looking at, I'd personally go with the ARK. It looks damn sexy to me. Though I've actually never heard one in person. The T1R sounds damn nice though. Sorry this probably didn't help much! lol

T1R 90R is what I have. Not too loud at cruising speed but there's a bit of drone under 2000-3000rpm. My wife and kid can live with that so no issues !

I've got the ARK exhaust and I came from the cp-e dual exhaust. Both are quiet but the ARK sound is so much more livable . I will try to post a video or something up here to help u out a lil

My vote on ARK. It's quieter.

You could also consider the Tomei full titanium exhaust. Saves ya a couple pounds as well as more power

sorry but they do not mix together. those who say single exits are not loud probably have expectations pretty low or heard loud exhausts so much that it sound quiet to them. quietness is relative though, so really, you have to be your own judge. the 76s is probably the quietest dual i've heard yet, but even then i still kinda gripe about it especially with a 5 speed the noise it generates near 4k (basically highway cruising).

ah, and adding to the factor, whether you have a 6th gear also affects your choice as well, especially if you're driving highway most of the time. those with the SSTs won't hear as much noise as the manuals on highway, for sure.

i'm not quite certain what you mean by "balance," since duals are capable of reaching 550whp without affecting anything (or at least most are advertised to be around that range). if you're gonna go above that then singles may be better for you for performance. if you're going for looks alone, personally i don't think the noise tradeoff you'll be getting will be worth it.

If noise is that big of an issue the tomei comes with a silencer and you could always keep or get a high flow cat. It won't be as quiet as the duals but hell it is a single like you want and would still be fairly decent as far as noise is concerned.
