Oxygen sensor, needed?

Anyone recommend a trustworthy internet vendor for an after catalyst oxygen sensor. I'm a couple hours from the nearest dealership. I am looking for one that is good quality, but affordable (less than $250).

I put a turboxs TBE on and have a check engine light. Hoping its just a O2 sensor!

did you install an o2 extender with the tbe? dont just buy an 02 without scanning the code at the very least or it just money wasted. if you didnt install an o2 extender you can buy them off ebay for 10 bucks. also if you already have an extender installed but your throwing code p0139 try installing and additional extender and that should solve ur issue.

or get the code eliminated using evoscan. your rear o2 is most likely fine

If I do have issue with this sensor and use an extender, how does that work? Does this back the sensor out of the stream some? If so, will this cause me too run to rich or lean or something? I've never heard of an extender, but I'm new to all this. Thanks.

The extender fools the ECU into thinking that the cat is still installed by placing it further away from the test pipe. you will not run too lean or rich because of an extender.

if your running a test pipe with NO extender then there is no need to scan for codes because thats definitely the cause for the light being on. just pick one up, install it, and if you dont have access to a scanner to erase the code, try disconnecting the battery for 1 minute and that should work.

Walker brand from oxygensensors.com for $119 shipped. Includes the correct plug and rubber grommet where it passes through the underbody.

Yes it will. There's even an ECU fuse in the engine bay if you want to get fancy.

FYI, the TBE has a high flow catalytic convertor. So maybe its just not as efficient, essentially same issue as having a test pipe.
