Ive used the GTX42R turbos and they spool similar to the GT series, slightly quicker. The billet wheel doesnt drop much mass from the rotating assembly, which means spool wont change much at all.

do you have boost graphs to suport your statement comparing the turbos you speak of? even then, tuning plays a big roll in the spooling of the turbo so without knowing FOR SURE that it is as best as it's going to get then how can we truly know.

garrett has the compression maps on their site, the gtx3582r looks like pure sex. Whenever 35r time comes, thats the way i'll go

I would need to dig them up, but the GTX line will all perform similarly. If the GTX45R and GTX42R spool nearly identical to their GT counterparts, the GTX30R and GTX35R will do the same.

Tuning does play a role in spool time, but when swapping from a GT turbo to a GTX with no tuning changes, you will see negligible differences. Even with some minor adjustments, you wont see the response of a GT3076R with the GTX35R.

wow, all the info on this board and people still advise the 6262 or bigger for fast spool

The 6262 does not spool faster than a standard Garrett GT35r, it's definitely laggier.

For fastest spool///

It goes in this order:

HTA 3582R - 59mm
Garrett 3582R - 61mm
HTA 3586R - 62mm
PTE 6262 - 62mm
PTE 6265 - 62mm
HTA 3794 - 67.5mm
PTE 6765 - 67mm
And so on....

Every turbo listed is capable of 650+awhp
