2010 ams fmic

so on the 2010, with the revised brackets, you can't use the rubber grommet(off stock fmic) and have to take off that black metal L bracket that held on the stock fmic right? i mounted it directly to the chasis w/o any rubber, just the screw and 2 washers. (that were holding that L bracket on)

also did not see in the ams instructions to disconnect battery so i didn't.

anyone else install the 2010 yet?

Yeah OP you did it properly. The 2008-09 model AMS FMIC used the rubber grommets but the 2010+ model does not. No clue why Mitsu changed the mounting styles between 2 years. NO battery disconnect required. Reuse your factory couplers and lube them inside with some wd-40 a little to allow easier installation.

Interested to see pictures of this, we haven't had one complaint on the front mount intercooler install for the 2010+ and we use the OEM mounts on the bottom and the side.
