Transfer Case and Read Diff Fluid

I am getting ready to do the 30k maintenance on the car and was wondering if any members on here have used MOTUL 90PA SAE 90 for the diff and transfer case instead of the OEM Dia Queen. I can get it locally so it is easy. Pro's or Con's to using it?

Thanks

I would go with the recommended 75w90 instead of an SAE90... although theoretically since you're in a warm climate it shouldn't matter, it never hurts to stick with specs especially since this isn't something you do all that often.

I thought the diff and TC where a single weight the OEM fluid. DiaQueen LSD GEAR Oil SAE 90. I thought for the Manual Transaxle that was the 75w-80w and this is where you can use like amsoil or redline fluid that is 75w-90w.

Thanks

so I went back and looked at my notes from when I did my 4 drivetrain fluid changes... and I was incorrect in my previous post: the FSM does not call for a 75w90 in the TC or Rear diff, but rather the Dia-Queen as you state, which is a SAE90 GL-5 Hypoid gear oil.

thusly, if the aforementioned Motul is an API GL-5(I didn't check), by all means go for it!

I'm an AMSOil guy myself, and although they do not explicitly recommend a product for the Evo X's TC or rear diff, myself (and many others) have no problems running their 75w90 severe gear, as do numerous Evo 8/9 guys, as it meets/exceeds all the necessary specifications.
