Enjoy!
I just realized my black spools as fast as your green And my red was faster...according to your chart, lol, up to 28psi is what I am looking at..

The black spools faster then i thought. Which means by process of elimination, the red is the mid range for low rpm and high rpms as the black is aimed for high rpm and the green for the low correct?

Your sentence is confusing.

It goes green, red black for power (green being low power, black being high) and black, red, green for spool (black being the laggiest, green the fastest).

I just showed how different setups can spool differently.

In all honesty, the FP turbos don't differ too much in spool from what I have seen.

Maybe, but how does it spool in comparison in first and second gear?

I bet there is a huge difference there!

No that is my black vs. a tub mani bbx...my black spools faster and makes more power That is my dd tune too...my track tune makes a lot more power

I would imagine the same...i don't see how gear would affect the difference in spool. As in..I am saying the gear is irrelevant and turbo will spool what it spools regardless of gear...sure gear will affect it, but it will affect the other turbo as well if you get what i mean.

So guys what would be the advantage of me getting a black over the green other then making more power? It seems that the Red seems to be the most popular of the 3 choices? What do you guys think?

This is absolutely not true. Each gear produces a different load at any given rpm point. Hence why we spool faster in 4th than in 2nd.

The Lag of a larger turbo is usually more prominent in the lower gears where there isn't as much load to spool it. Remember turbo's are load driven.

I'll try to get a 1st and second gear pull in the next few days.

I think 400 for a dd would be good.Although 450 is my goal i think 400 is ok. The green can achieve this with great spool rates. I may lean towards the green. The red and the green are where the decisions are. the black i will need more internals to make serious power and may be over kill. What do you guys think?

Depends on you!

If you plan on upping power in the future and don't mind some lag, go bigger. You can always build the motor later. Just show restraint until you build the motor.

I myslef, am perfectly happy with my green, I need NO extra power really, not for DD duties.

I was tired and drinking...I didn't say at all what I wanted to, lol.

I think what I meant was contradictory to what you said here.

As in I don't think the difference between two turbos will be affected by gear. Meaning, I think it is a linear relationship not parabolic or something. So if our turbos spool the same in 3rd I would imagine the spool the same in another gear. But what I am showing is dyno boost plot, on the street it is a little laggier, not a lot, maybe 200rpms or so.

Decision time: Fp Red. I hope you boys agree with that? Eventually I may look at cams but for now just the red.
