Help. Rear Diff leak

My rear differential is leaking between the differential housing and the pinion housing. The Mitsu rep would have been ok with replacing the seal that is between the housing, but could not find one and refuses to buy me a new differential. Both the mechanics I've talked to said that if my diff did fail it wouldn't be at this part, since there is no torque applied to it.

I have the following questions:
1) Has anyone had this problem, if so how did you fix it?
2) If someone has had the diff apart and knows there is a seal there any information would be great.
3) Part number for the seal would be amazing.

Thanks guys.

The arrow is pointing to where the leak is.

I believe it is part # 5 where the leak is coming from.
It is probably leaking from the axle seal and dripping down to the differential. Might want to check that.

it's not leaking from part #5. it's the in between the 2 housings. I may try and see if the seal #5 is the same as the unlisted one.

Check the AYC hydraulic line fittings, it's very common for those to leak. Snug them down a bit, clean up the case, and see if that helps.
