Question engine problem

So here we go, ill make a short story.

fp red and bla bla bla ok...no cams..never opened the head.

I got tuned at iveys this summer.

so about 30000km after.....bang a spark plug(cylinder number four).but only this one...they other ones were perfect.(but was time to replace them). so bought some new spark..putt them in. give some to the car...200km after bang again...same spark plug cylinder number 4 again.

so i talked with ivey and a couples of guys...and it could have been a injector failure...so putt some injector cleaner....and go again.......and for sure..again spark plug number 4.

so we just did a swap of injectors....so the injector number 4 was now on the 1. 200-300km after....paff again spark plug in cylinder number 4.

I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW...THAT THE SPARK PLUGS IS NOT MELTED. the original gap that was .20-.22.......is now 0.00.....there is no gap..and there is missing a little part of ceramic on all of 4 cylinders that Ive putt in that cylinder.

also the 3 others spark plug are PERFECT.....so....not a tuning problem...not the weather.....not a fuel problem....

DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANYTHING TO TELL ME.........we are now at the point to think that theres is something that hits the spark plug from the inside....give me some help please tks

We need to know what Blah, Blah, Blah is to help you... we dont know if you are running meth, have the right supporting mods for an FP Red, etc... Start with a complete list of your mods and then go from there.

For what its worth I found your post VERY difficult to understand until I read it 3-4 times so try to be a little more clear.

What other mods do you have and when you say 30000km later how many miles/km's were on the car before? Do you need to do the 60,000 mile/96,500 km service?

2 things I can think of...

1 - you are using the wrong plugs and the ones you have are too deep or

2- someone tightened the living hell out of the plug and it now sits too deep in the head and hits...

25psi is in the territory of possibly needing head studs especially with the Red and power it can make, are yours stock or upgraded? Do you have a walbro or stock FP or what?

Possibly fuel starvation from not having enough and detonation thus resulting in plug damage?

i was using hksm40xl first time my plug died...after that they are stock plugs...which are the same heat range.

no i didnt thigh them too much lol..no chance on that one. lol

the thing I dont understand is why only on one cylinder??? it makes it really hard to find.

we have in mind.rods..piston or something like that, that could go hit the spark plug.

and the other idea right now....is overboosting due to cold weather here.(it didnt do that in the summer..35 celcius when i had my tune.....- 10 celcius right now)

but again why only on one cylinder lol

If your piston hits your plug then chances are you would also bash a valve or something I would think... Have you turned your boost down for the winter?

Doubt it after so many miles.

I think it's octane related. Car came in before we ever touched it with 2 burned sparkplugs and not running right. We checked and found the issue, rectified it car went back and forth for a while was fine.

It's now winter, so the boost might have gone up and where the OP lives it's only 91 oct.

did you get any CEL codes ? P0304 in particular ?
get a compression & boroscopic test done. post some pics and results.
i would turn the boost down and drive slow till it's checked out.

sean, if it's octane related how come the problem only happens on a particular cyl ? #4 in this case.

When it came here first it was not just one plug. But in that case the plugs were actually melted if I remember correctly.
He will be here Monday so we will borescope it (We have the snapon one that does vid and pics) and do a compression check and see if anything stands out.
