Perrin EBCS Pro Install Question

Hey guys I posted this on Evo X forums but thought I'd ask here as well. Just had a quick question about the install for the Perrin EBCS Pro on an Evo X. For people that are hooked up to the stock internal waste gate in the FAST RESPONSE configuration, did you you route Port #1 back to the intake or leave it open to the atmosphere. In Perrins instructions it doesn't mention Port #1 other than in step 5 which says don't block it. I've got mixed feedback so far and wanted to see what you guys thought. I know almost every other BCS routes the third port back to the intake but it seems like Perrin doesn't want you to do this.

Thanks for the help, cheers.

Venting anything to atmosphere in our cars is a no no. So I doubt they meant for you to VTA.

You can always call Perrin and ask. I'm sure they'd be more than glad to help.

Both actualy are ok for this. Personally on my X, i had it vented to atmosphere and there was ZERO change to AFR. The reason is, the volume of air coming out of the solenoid is very very minor. I did plug up the intake hose fitting as that would be a decent leak if you leave that open.

But also venting it back to the intake is not a bad idea and we included plenty of hose and parts to do that. Just keep in mind that you need a tune to use this properly, i think you mentioned this over on EVO X forums, i was mainly saying this for other onlookers. Let us know if you have more questions feel free to call or IM us!

Awesome, thanks for the quick response Jeff. Also got an e-mail back from Chris. Great customer service!

I think I'm just gunna route the third port back to the intake so I don't have to worry about capping the spiget on the intake off. Thanks for the advice.

And yes I do have a tune coming as soon as I install it haha, I would like to stay away from a "kaboom" as much as possible haha.
