Test Pipe Question?

So, I have the tenabe Medalion catback exhaust and I'm looking to get a test pipe as well. Tenabe doesn't make a full turbo back or even test pipe for this exhaust so my question is which one to get? Is there really any difference in brands as far as quality and what not or is just that, a "brand"? Any suggestions on what to get would be very much appreciated.

doesnt matter if the diameter is a same. It is a simple pipe. Nothing more - nothing less.

Every test pipe is not the same. We have a few pictures on our site showing a straight vs a test pipe with a bend.

Thanks,

So why do they make straight ones if they won't fit?

Our 3" Test Pipe is straight, and it does not have any problems with clearance like the one linked.

They do fit but they are usually very snug. They are obviously easier/cheaper to make than one with the bend. If you look at the stock cat it has the bend as well. I know AMS is straight and I remember one user on here has some issues that the TP would hit that bolt on the driveshaft joint. But there are hundreds of people running straight TP's and they don't have any problems.

Makes sense. Thanks for the info. I may just go with a bent one to avoid head aches

I've had both the SX test pipe and HFC. Both were straight and neither were an issue. I like ETS well enough but the issue seems overblown.

That's what I did. I bought mine from Ark along with my exhaust. It sounds really good.
