Sticking Lifter?

So I was getting on it the other day around corner passing a friend of mine, slid it pretty good but blipped the rev limiter in 2nd a few times before going into 3rd. Got home and the had to run another errand about an hour later. when I started it up I can hear a ticking sound....????....a guy at work said its possibly a lifter getting stuck briefly....any ideas???

if it sounds like your hitting your valve cover with a hammer then yes, but if its quiet and consistent, im pretty sure its all good

compression test... Do you have your rev limiter raised with a tune?

The X has a super loud valve train...mine sounds like a diesel truck or something. Part of mine is the DW injectors I have that are super ticky. My car works fine still though.

I am not saying something isn't wrong, but I think its a common attribute of the X head.

yeah its somewhat quiet and very consistent, car still runs fine, nothing smells any different, rev limiter and fuel cut are still at 7600rpm....I'll ask my local shop and see what they think. Need to win the lotto and say eff it and buy the cossie head lol
