Yeah when I drive by garages b/c the sound reflects off the wall so it's easier to hear, I can still hear it if I'm standing next to it and it's idling tho. My buddy has a 2010 X and his isn't as loud. As for the oil I'm currently using Royal Purple 5-30...

I think I speak for many when I say try another brand of oil. Go back to mobil 1 (recommended by manufacture). Oil / environment can affect lifters. I tried rp in my viii and noticed significant lifter noise. Good luck.

So Turbo26 is saying its my injectors...???...been debating on getting some DW850's or ATP 950's but not sure which ones yet since I'm still stock turbo. But why would the injectors click? I know Im running my stockers at like 98%....

As for the oil, all I gotta say is DAMN IT! I thought RP was good ****?!? I used to run Mobile 1 synth all the time in my old cars but since I got the X figured I'd go w/ a "better" oil. Guess I'll let the guy at Autozone take me out back and boot me in the nuts now....

There are a few different injectors that are known to be kind of noisy on X's, I know the DW1300's are.

Just because Mobil1 is factory recommended does not mean it is "better"

LOL @ direct injection also, DI cars always seem to struggle to make power without LOL$$$$. Feel sorry for those mazdaspeed guys.

So I back to the original question, are there any aftermarket parts or anything I can do to quiet this noise down?

It's WAY better than Royal Purple. I hate to dog RP as a MOD, but I wouldn't put that stuff in my competition's car. That stuff is not good any way you slice it. Search the various testing that has been done on evom. It doesn't hold up and doesn't have the appropriate additives. Speaking of which, Mobile-1 holds up extremely well on stock frame bearing turbos (FP Red and Black are the exceptions).
