ANybody know where I can find OEM or after market lifters? Planning on swapping them out when I get cams but can't for the life of me find any for the X....preferably aftermarket and solid...

 

I might be wrong but I believe the X doesn't have lifters. I believe it is springs and tappets. But again I am not sure.

the ticking we all have. the x and alot of others now days are direct injected.

 

is the ticking pretty quiet, or does it sound like a hammer on concrete?

 

seems pretty quiet I suppose, mainly hear it when I drive by other cars or garages slowly or have it started up in my garage....annoying as a mothr fkr...what else could it be if it's not the lifters/tappets so I can check it or get it checked at my shop?

 

The X isn't direct injection.

 

The ticking was REALLY bad in my VIII... but acceptable in my X. Have you owned your car since new? My ticking never really increased in 12k miles.

No worries man, you have a right to be confused. I believe the Genesis that uses the 4b11 world block is DI.

DI is a feature some have been asking for from

 

you can hear it when your driving by garages? the only time i hear it is when i am walking in front of my car when its idling

 

My ticking is crazy.. and only 25,000 on the car. Sounds like a DSM lol.
