Hi all,

I have a Mitsubishi Lancer CK2A (CK 2A - 0000653)
Done 170000Km and it has DOHC 4G15 Engine.

It has a noisy lifters when engine is cold and will take about 3/4 minutes to settle it down.Then loud noise go away and I only can hear small ticking noise all the time.

see the vidoe and tell me is this lifters and what can we do about it?

Yep, noisy lifters.

You can dynomat the hood and firewall if you don't like to hear it. Just how these engines were built. I've tried additives, haven't noticed any difference.

 

my car has same issue, like jwick76 said, I tried cheapo oil additives and lucas oil pure synthetic stab.. , no Bueno..
