look at the transfer case between the downpipe and the hoses. i think it goes there but rarely do they work well to protect the steering wheel from heat. It is hard to say based of my car since all the shields got damaged having a car and lift sat down on top them.

Below the DP like the other guy said. If you look at the AMS instructions or HOW to for AMS DP intallation youll see it there. If you jack up the car remove the large skid plate, the small front skidplate, then the passenger front wheel and the plastic cowling around it you can reach it. Its a pain in the *** to get to. It was refered to as the front diff heat shield.

At least thats what I think it is. Check that AMS DownPipe Install in teh How to section.
