Recomendations: DP
Recomendations: DP
I would like some recommendations for a DP. I originally was just going to keep my HF cat and get a bung put on it for my WB but I have a little extra money and figured a downpipe would be nice as well and then saves a little hassle as well.
A little about AKINA , she is a daily driver I don't track her, although my friend wants me to start going but I know I will be hooked if I do. She basically now just has fun on the parkway making the commute much more enjoyable. Yes, the LEFT LANE is Mine, PLEASE STAY IN THE RIGHT!
I am thinking of an AMS widemouth downpipe, but maybe the MAP. But any suggestions of what might be better.
She is still stock Turbo ( for now I plan on upgrading later but not it the immediate future), ETS HF Cat, Invidia Q300 exhaust, K&N intake and UICP).
Recommendations please. Thanks

I might go for a FP RED or the GARRETT GT3076R kit later down the road but neither include a DP. We are talking much later down the road, most likely a year or year and a half and I need to get my wideband installed so this will eliminate me getting a bung put in the HF cat.

Has anyone eliminated the cat and kept the stock exhaust? I assume all these downpipes will sound similarly, just curious on the effects of downpipe w/o exhaust.

I want a quiet car, but I would imagine eliminating your cat is the #1 thing you can do aside from a tune. My Sky is LOUD after all the mods, and I'm fine with that, but this one is a daily driver whereas the Sky is a dry-roads only car.

There are plenty of very good and fairly quiet catback options on the market:
-Cobb
-Magnaflow
-Buschur Crossflow
-ETS Quiet Edition
...just to name a few. If noise is also a serious concern look into using a HFC rather than a testpipe.
