see with acd-tuning....

also, you can try and find a shop that repairs small electric motors, and have them rewire the rotor and change the brushes.. Then get the repair kit from acd-tuning and fix the pump, bearing and the seals..

The ACD can be bled by adding a small amount of pressure to the reservoir and cracking the bleeder. Just a small amount. A modified cap and a Power Bleeder pumped to maybe 10-15 psi should do it.

no, not really.. because that way you do not get rid of the air in the pressure accumulator. What you are doing with this method is running the oil from the return hose back into the pump straight to the solenoids and then into the transferbox.. but are missing the high pressure side of the things..

on the early cars (7,8,9) you can bleed the ACD using the full throttle method.. I do not know about the X tho.

What you need for the X is either the MUT tool, or one of my test tools.
I do not know if evoscan will bleed the X.

if you manage to fix the motor, I would suggest you get the overhaul kit and overhaul the pump too.. since you already opened it.

I was assuming a bench-bled accumulator (before you reinstall the pump in the car). Or are you saying that even that won't work? What I'm describing is the method suggested by a nearby rally shop.

I think that method will leave some air in the system.. which might not be really bad, but we had found that air in the system will lead to ACD errors..

Air in the pump inlet, however, is bad because then the ATF in the pump becomes a very fine foam. When we bleed the system , the first cup of fluid that goes out is mainly foam, because you first have to get rid of airlocks in the inlet pipe, which is a real problem on EUDM-JDM evo 7,8,9... I think Evo X is better in this respect..

Best method for sure is to operate the pump manually... If you do not like to spend money on MUT or my test tool, you can always hook up something yourself.
