Resonated Vs Non-Res Test Pipe
Looking to purchase a tp along with the ams dp soon. I currently have the invidia q300 cat-back exhaust (dual muffler and is resonated). My question is will I experience drone with a non-res tp? If so, how bad is it? My evo x is my daily driver. I don't want to come out of my car with a headache. I don't care about how loud it is outside the car, only the inside is my concern. If the drone is mild/close to none then thats fine. Keep in mind the catback I am running as well. Can anyone help me out here with experience of either or? Thanks.
I am curious as this as well. I am currently running the AMS wide mouth downpipe, straight through test-pipe, and a Buschar dual 3" exhaust and I currently have a bit of drone in the cabin. I recently bought a ETS test pipe a few weeks back, but I haven't received it yet. If this doesn't fix the drone, I will be swapping exhausts.
I would not waste my time or money on the resonated test pipe... You should go to a mini muffler test pipe. AMS and UR have one or even go with a HF cat. I know the UR mini muffler is probably the best value at 250ish.

^This is true, my Megan Full Turbo Back, which has a res. in the Cat Back and the TP is Res. has very little to no drone. Your never going to have zero drone, at certain load and RPM will create so much that can be muffled. I'm also making 400/393 (Mustang) stock turbo, stock block on E85. Never been pulled over for after market exhaust and I live in Cal.
