Stock Muffler Question

I did searches but came up with nothing. If someone finds it thanks ahead of time.

But my question is that how much will my stock muffler hold me back? My reasoning for keeping the stock muffler is to keep it as low key as possible.
I'm upgrading my downpipe and getting a testpipe as well. My mod list will be the following

Aeromotive 340 Fuelpump
Cobb/AMS/ETS intake
ETS intercooler piping or a whole AMS incooler system (depending on funds)
ID 1000
Synapse BOV (came with car)
ETS/AMS Downpipe
ETS/AMS Testpipe

Will be tuned using an AP

If I only post, "Significantly" will that suffice as an answer?

If you are going test pipe, then you are just taking all that flow and tossing it into a tiny bottleneck. Just do some research on a nice quiet cat back system. If it's still too loud, swap out the test pipe for a resonated one and it'll quiet things down a bit for you.

Try this, this will work for you since you are sticking with stock turbo.

I'm still running the stock catback with an O2 downpipe and testpipe. She runs surprisingly strong. The biggest bottleneck in the line is the cat so running a test pipe will definitely free up some power.

RRE does that as well with the stock exhaust. Mike reccomends that for stock exhaust cars looking for a bit more power without too much sound. But, he also says that if you plan on TP'ing the car, that a real cat back would work better.

Not saying you can't do it, just that it's not reccomended by most.

I did that muffler mod back when I first got my car and saw about 8 WHP gains IIRC. I'm coincidentally about to sell that modified stock muffler this week Just in case you're in the market.

I made 370whp (From 193whp stock) on a proper mustang dyno with the stock catback, unmodified. It was even on my RA which has more of a kink in the midpipe then the GSR/MR.

That said, I upgraded to a magnaflow catback a couple months ago and it picked up a good amount of power and maxed out my current fuel system.

FWIW, the full TBE setup gave me a bit more than 7mph on a 1/4 mile if you want to translate the HP numbers into something your eyeballs and dragstrip clock can appreciate. Bone stock, 97mph trap, with TBE, 104.x mph. I was pretty impressed. Oh, it makes a really sexy noise now compared to the stock muffler.

Did anyone mention that you will lose weight when you lose the OEM muffler? The thing is HEAVY!

Me to. I heard they made some changes with the 2011 muffler. A friend of mine who's got a 2010 X says mine (a 2011) sounds more throaty.
