How to wash an EVO of Ralliart property?

I am a new user of turbo cars. Well, you know that turbo cars like EVO and Ralliart have some vents on their hoods. I am wondering what they are actually doing? They don't seems to be used for sir intake since both car in take are located in the front of the cars.

Also, how to wash the car properly? I heard people say that the auto wash one is very bad for cars. What about wash them manually? The only thing that I am worry about is that the water may go in to those hole when splashing water on the hood, and the intake in the front as well. Would it happens? Will it cause any troubles?

The purpose of the hood vents are to allow hot air to escape the engine bay.

I use the drive through wash and no problems here. I have an ETS intake too. If it gets wet its not much. The engineering of the hood seems to keep water out pretty good especially when raining and I even took off the restrictor plates on the vents for even better ventilation.

If washing your washing your car yourself and you have an aftermarket intercooler with stencil on it...don't blast the front of your car directly with the high powered washer at "do-it-yourself" carwash. I've re-done stenciling once and have the washing down to an art now.

Getting a bit of water on your intake shouldnt be an issue cause you gotta figure what happens when it rains

As per the hood vent... If you look under your hood you should be able to notice that its design to direct air flow to the exhaust mani/turbo area which helps keep under hood temps down.
