At 4,500 miles, the clutch is slipping.

my brand new 2011 GSR with 4,500 miles has a clutch that has just today started to slip. when i stand on the throttle in any gear at low rpm (around 3k), the boost builds and it slips not more than 700-800 rpm before it catches and goes. is there any reason - short of repeated hi-rev launches during the course of its short life (which hasn't at all been done) - that this should be happening and shouldn't be covered under the warranty? the car is totally unmodded. guy at the dealer basically used the cost of labor to take a look at the clutch as a threat against trying to warranty the job because if it looks like driver use/abuse, i've got to pay for the dismantling and reassembly. i'd love to call bs and tell them to do it, but the clutch being a clutch, all it's going to show is a little or a lot of wear and tear that can only be attributed to me.
anyone have any insight or has anyone else run into this? could it be anything else, however doubtful? it seems absurd that, even with hard driving, the clutch would be smoked at under 5k miles. it's a lease so at the very least whatever happens i hand them back the keys in 2.5 years, right when the warranty goes *poof*.
and as a follow-up question, how bad do i f@#k the warranty if i junk the oe clutch for an aftermarket version? and if the extent of future modding is a cobb ap with an ots map, what is the general suggestion? i've searched and gotten the 800hp bullet-proof solution, but nothing in the range i'm operating in.
thanks in advance for your responses!

From another thread you posted in:
Do you really ride the clutch and/or slip the hell out of it? I've been modded since day one, now at 29k miles, and making 400whp and my stock clutch is holding perfectly. Clutch life is all in your driving style. Consider taking a ride with someone with more driving experience and pay attention to how they engage the clutch, downshift, upshift, etc. Or, have them ride with you and give you advice. Preferably another Evo owner who's gotten good life out of the stock clutch. Since you're in Chicago the guys up at AMS would be worth hitting up about it, they've undoubtedly done tons of Evo clutch jobs and seen every driving style there is.

That's good stuff. I've driven sticks for 14 years and have never burned or roasted a clutch to the point where it was slipping like this. Interesting...I can't think of a reason other than massive slipping that I'm not realizing I'm doing that could be causing this. Time to break the bad habit I guess!
I'll give AMS a call and see what they say about finding a remedy to this problem.
Thanks for your help!

Just for reference.. I'm at 35700 miles and havent had any problems with my stock clutch. I have an ACT SSHD sitting in my room just in case. Lol.
If there is nothing wrong like the main seal turned around backwards and leaking on the clutch, than it has to be your driving style. I mean the X is a heavy, AWD car making about 300hp.. The clutch can wear a lot just because of the nature of the car.
And an aftermarket clutch will most likely void your warranty on the transmission and there is a chance that your CMC will break due to the heavier load of the clutch, depending on what clutch you get.
