Turbo timers are ghey, just shut it off and save the atmosphere. Then go hug a tree. Everything will be better.

For the ARK STB, there are only 3 settings.. 30-sec, 1-min & 3-min that are selected by pushing the button.

The single LED changes color, showing which of the 3 settings you selected (green=30, red=1, orange=3).

Once you remove the key from the ignition you can either release the parking brake or push the button on the timer to shut the car off.

So once installed, it's pretty much always on? ie, park in neutral, apply handbrake, remove key, and the STB will automatically keep the car running for whatever interval you previously had it set for?

If that's the case, I think it would make more sense just to have the button cycle through 30-sec, 1-min, 3-min and timer off (and remember that setting until changed, or allow one of the 4 settings to be set as default)..

..that way I could leave it off 99% of the time, and on the rare occasion I have to race wot at 165 to drop off random lady going into labor to the emergency room, I'd just tap the button and my turbo's safe

They're $85 direct from ARK US w/free S&H and harness at the moment.. not sure if they're cheaper anywhere else (or if anyone else even carries them).

There's really no point in having one. The best thing you could do is drive off the turbo the last 30 seconds of your ride. That's all it takes to cool the turbo and any more than that at idle and your motor's actually hotter than when your on the gas

I wouldnt go that far, even tho its also a water cooled turbo I have personally seen my friends turbo get RED HOT cuz they were racing the hell out of it filled with like 4 people then the dumbass shut it right off. You can say its water cooled all you want but apparently it wasnt enough for his to not get red hot.

I have an Apexi TT in my car which came with it when I got it, no complaints, it also tells you the voltage and stuff which helps since we only have idiot lights for the charging system, I have found on rare occasions when I want to raise the time it will drop down and shut it off but no complaints with it.

For the one guy asking about the one that figures out how much time to add all by itself my friend had one in his STI that actually logged the load or maybe boost or something and the more you were in boost or high loads it would raise the turbo timer time for it, There was like 2 red bar graphs going length wise that when you hit the gas the one would move to the right and the longer it stayed to the right the other bar would slowly build up and that was the length of time for the turbo timer. I really think its overkill, all you gotta do on mine is just move a mini joystick up or down for the time you want in like 10 second intervals but if you want to know who made it I can ask him.

there is a button "off' mode. you push it so that the LED is not on at all (so in total there are 4 modes0 and then it is off.

I thought being oiled cooled it was pointless. I smoke in my car after I park to get mentally ready for work anyway. So start smoking, Just joking the timer is healthier.

I use a greddy I bought used for 45 bucks set it to like 30 or 40 seconds for normal driving, if I was driving hard I just turn the key off and hit the button a few times So it will let it run longer....
