There are a lot of people who run E85 and blow their engines because they put what they thought was E85, but put in a lower amount of ethanol like E60, E70, etc. I would not run ethanol in my car, because this happens a lot more than people think. If you do decide to use it, there is a ethanol content display that you can buy. I would not run that fuel in a car without it.

I was interested in buying the car. So I of course wanted to test drive it before buying it... Make sure that it's a good solid buy, which it turned out not to be.

what would have happened if the test drive went fine, you bought the car, and it blew up 10 mins after? Would the seller pay for everything, or tell you you're SOL since no warranty was implied? I think he would have screwed you, and I think he knew the car wouldn't last without a +$4000 engine rebuild.

It sounds like a dick thing to just walk away on the surface, but the owner created the situation. Sucks to be involved in it, but I dont think he can do anything if you just walk away

^Agreed. Of course you feel bad, but it is not your problem nor fault.

I have many friends that constantly ask to drive my car. When I say no, they ask why. I tell them; if something were to happen, you wreck or grenade it, you aren't going to pay for it. Even though they would be at fault, they wont take responsibility, its the owner's responsibility. So therefore, I blow my own sh*t up. Good luck, it was definitely a very unsafe setup running stock internals.

My motor blew the same way. Sucks for the owner not you. The tuner should have had his customer build up the motor for that power.
