New timing chain as of April 2012
I was told they did not redesgn the chain the just changed suppliers. Lots of smoke and mirrors over there.
They did not want to warranty my claim. I was refused by Mitsu. I had to claim it through my 3rd party company even though i was under the 100k. SOB!

I have a '13 mr and got a ses light. crank and cam angle sensors not within +/- 1 degree or something like that (had auto zone pull it and reset it and it came back right away). I'm guessing my chain stretched. is there a better chain now? it just turned 5k miles and I don't want to change it EVERY 5k miles. I'd rather just buy one that works.
There haven't been any timing chain stretch reports since the new chain came out on the '11s. My guess is your sensors are bad, tensioner is bad, or something else is going on. But chains should be lasting 80k+ miles.
for the record i've had 2 stretched chains. the dealer told me low oil pressure for the tensioner allowed the chain to slip a tooth. $4000! Twice!. and im still making payments on my credit card for the dealer repair fees. astronomical BS.
