BC Cams

Why does everybody say BC cams aren't that great? It's either cosworth or kelford...the BCs have longer duration and higher lift than both do what gives? What makes the cossies or the kelford so much better? I know cosworth is a sick *** company so is it just the name and nobody has really run the BCs?

Why does it seem as if you ask about anything other than an intake or exhaust nobody knows on here....???

You're asking about a part that is rarely used. The vast majority of X owners are currently using Kelford or GSC camshafts since they're proven to effective with quality manufacturing (BC is neither). Cosworths have sort of gone by the wayside already and Tomei is still "breaking into" the X camshaft market.

No response is better than a wrong response.

You should report back w/ your results and that might help other members try these cams out assuming you get good results and the next time anybody has questions about these cams we can point them to your thread

MAP did a X with BC cams way back when they first came out, I'm not sure how that all ended up though b/c I think the owner decided to scrap the project before it was done.

I made 10whp over stock cams in the last one I tuned with them (BC272). It also was running 28psi and meth where my normal X's wouldnt so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt on that one. Plus they idle "aggressively" lets say.

Forget what ppl say..first of all i used to think BC cams was garbage and i always wanted some Kelford's or GSC's..My buddy had a set of aggressive cams in his Evo which made 700 + whp. And i just found out it was BC's the whole time..He sold his car and went back home..what did i do??i bought them lol...lets see how much power they can make in my car!!
