Hopefully the dealer was bull****ting you about the extent of the damage to make some money...Idk how things are there, but they do that here.
I was thinking this as well. Or maybe a sticker saying the same thing. I hope all turns out well for the OP its a ****ty situation for everyone involved. I have had my car towed many times and I tell them each time to bring a flat bed, even if I have to wait a little longer until one is available.

Yea because thats smart. Sell the car for $10k...ill still owe about 25k on it. Even thoughh i can rebuild it and have a car that can sustain 500hp, for 10k.

Well i got the head off. Good news is the cylinder walls arent damaged, even with a piece of the piston missing. The bad news is, i got a feeling the head is no good. The damage is pretty deep. Also one of the exhaust valves for #1 isnt sitting right, im assuming thats slightly bent but didnt cause any damage to the head. Heres some pictures.

Then you were driving it home and it all went to sh*t, you call a tow company and blame it all on them. I have quite a bit of experience and I feel like you don't have a leg to stand on in this. Personally I think they're going to take a look and throw it out.

Regardless of anything else, it's all about who you know. If your attorney knows the da or judge and has a good name for himself, you might win. If he isn't known, I don't see you winning IMO. Good luck, I'm done here
Fact of the matter is...It does not matter what he was doing before the tow. AWD vehicles must not be towed with a dolly. IMO it is a tow truck companies responsibility to know this. Fact is that if an awd vehicle is towed with a dolly it will ruin the drivetrain instantly. This is all the judge needs to know. You run a business not knowing wtf your doing your going to **** **** up and get sued LOL.

True and theres no damage to the turbo or block (thank god). I was peaking at 28psi, tapering to 26psi.

thats exactly where my ef3 is at. what were your afr's? and what degree of timing?

i did just realize this was an evo x lol. wow i know. i've heard these babies are about maxed out on stock block/head around 400whp (mustang dyno) not sure if theres any truth to that or not because im not around these enough but what would you guess you were putting down for power?

VD was saying 431hp 378trq @ 28psi. AFR was 10.7 - 10.5. I had clipse keep it abit rich because i do time attack racing and i want the extra fuel to keep things cool. Obviously it wasnt cool enough. When i rebuild ill be adding meth.

Is that equilvilent to a dynojet or mustang dyno? just curious because if not maybe you just had too much power for a stock X and unfortuntely it blew.

maybe e85 and a built motor with the fp red and a really good tune (not trying to knock you) but some of these tuners do some epic things with these cars. maybe that would net you 500whp and 450tq easy? i know a few guys locally in MN that have built X's running 450+whp dynojet and they're just solid a.ss cars

looked at my tune, its actualy 7700 is my rev limit. So now the debate is. I been trying to sell my nitrous kit i had for my srt-10, for about a year or two now with no bites. I'm either going to slap the nitrous on or trade my fp red for a black (if i can find someone with a black)

Its between the 2 dynos. VD, if correct info is inputted, is about 10hp +/- off of a real dyno. Also we dont have E85 in canada.
