go green on e85 if you have it. If not, go Red. I had a bb FP Red and ****ing loved it. However since i popped my engine, im building to a 2.2L and i sold my Red so i can pick up a FP Black.

How much power are you talking about?
the green is easily capable of 400+ hp on pump gas as the others said.
With E85 460+

your car would be a blast. Especially with the zero lag.

But if you dont have Ethanol, and are going to want more and more power after awhile,
then the red might be for you?

I have my e85 2.3 fp green s2's springs 3.5" IC full piping 3" tbe so on so forth. Corrected, i made 510/505 up here a mile high. uncorrected was low 400's. You wont see the tq i have, but youll see it go up. Especially with e85. Now whenever the green goes, ill be going to red or black cuz i just like seeing the look on ppls faces when a 4 door sedan just rapes

OK OK now im leaning real heavily on the Green side!!!!!!And all this talk about e85 is really gettin my attention...now my next question...I heard a rumor that a turbo like the FP Green becuz of it torque and quick spooling pwr can easily break engine components...True/false?

You said you want to be able to beat a ZL1... you'd probably need a red or black on e85 for that.

Yep, quick torque shots can throw rods like horseshoes...

Chetrickerman just converted to a red from his green that he used to have. Maybe he will chime in on this...

The green definitely lacks the top end that the red has.

Also, you will notice the lag with the red, but you wont actually feel it.

Going off of your OP, the green will suit your needs. But eventually the green just wont be big enough and you will want a red.

The green on E85 will get you 450 whp, but a red on E85 will get you 500 whp.

Btw, if by low end torque you mean torque to daily drive the car around city, then the red will give you plenty as long as your MIVEC is tuned well

Chetrickerman, I heard u switched from a Red to Green so u might b the biggest help...When u and other ppl sayvthe Green lacks pwr up top...Is it from the concept that its lacking less then the factory turbo up top or is it the same or more?

I really have no problem getting a Green even if I will want more pwr with a Red.What I really don't want is the extra lag...but it sounds like thats inevitable with the Red but ill worry about that later...and my major fear is the talk that the Green is more likely to cause damage becuz of its quick spool...any thoughts?

You posted about ZL1 and GTR..... I think you would want something bigger than a green. I have a red and yes there is slight lag, but once boost kicks in and it pulls all the way to redline you kind of forget about it.

I take it that these posts are for the EVO X, right?

If not, I will have some back to back tests done between the FP Red and EF4 on 91-octane and E85 with a LR 2.4L engine hopefully by the end of next week.

Right now, I am making full boost with the FP Red on 91-octane under 4,000 RPM.

The green definitely has more power up top that the stock turbo.

Just make sure you have a good tuner and it will be fine
