Not worth 10 extra ponies compared to a ported stock manifold for me. Electrical issues in my book = trade in.
It is way more than 10hp... I picked up 40hp peak and close to 60hp in one section switching from a ported manifold to the Full Race manifold.

I just got off the phone with a buddy that was actually saying thr same thing!!!!!That's blows!!!!!!I really wanted to get a manifold!!!!!A good heat coating and a heat wrap at the same time plus a heat shield wouldn't protect the nearby equipment!!??

Bottom line is Green= faster spool and not as much whp SAFELY as red....red= quick spool (not as quick as green but still can be fast) more whp than green SAFELY....what do you want? TQ and spool or whp numbers? That is what is seems like your choice is about. And like spaz said...regardless of what you get and how its tuned...sh*t happens! you have to pay to play!

here you go. Gates FPred vs a stock GSR dyno. This was on a 08 I believe and the FPred is a JB one. Makes good reading over all. post #26

No...to make the same whp on a green w/ pump gas would not be safely done in my opinion. Highest whp greens I have seen out there are like 450-470 or so on E85. Plain and simple...anything outside of of BASIC bolt-ons (i.e TBE, intake, IC etc) you start messing with true reliability, green or red. I don't care who your tuner is and how you baby your or anything else you have to say about modding your EVO or any other car for that matter. Once you really start pushing the car by factory settings/parts/limits...**** can happen and warranty no longer covers/PIA to get it covered. Like I said...you gotta pay to play...lol

Yeah I have read that before...I have driven in a green and the thing moves like a raped ape!!! Sadly I have not had the chance to ride in a red so I can not compare. The spool comparisons that most people get are from this forum more than likely. I myself am honsetly making that comaprison becuse of all the reading for my turbo upgrade in the furture. I would have to say that the main notion for the Red is awsome numbers but laggy. But as always there are things such as that thread that can prove you wrong I guess.

Yep, it was verified on a real dyno a week ago.... it put down 547hp/488tq on His Motorsports' dynojet and trapped 128mph at the shootout.
