New Evo x GSR BOV question
Yeah I'm sticking with the stock BOV for now and I decided that I will order the ETS intake and the ETS turboback exhaust!. Only heard positive stuff about them!

short ram intake
I just bought a 2010 Evo X GSR and looking to get some sound from my stock BOV, I heard that if I get a short ram intake that it will be louder, is that true? From what people say, using stock BOV is best, however an aftermarket one wouldnt be all that bad, but if I can get away with the stock BOV and a short ram intake and get a similar sound, id be ok with that. Also where would the best place online to get one thats a good deal of course.
Thanks dude.

We have awesome deals on all intakes and exhaust systems right now! Be sure to take a look at our site to browse everything we have (shop.xtrperformance.com) click the chat to get the best price possible.
We are going with the ETS V2 Quiet and ETS Intake. By far a top notch company who makes great products. If you want to stay stock but still hear your turbo spool I recommend a K&N Panel filter. We have this on our 2012 Evo X and you can really hear the turbo spool and the DV make some noise

Okay sweet. When I'm ready to buy I will look you guys up (should be a month or so). I live up here in Canada. Would that be a problem? lol
If your looking for an increase in noise. Our intake does the job. Anyone with our intake will say without a doubt increase in performance as well as sound (You can hear the turbo spooling like a mad man) The metal pipe and relocated blow off valve really do the trick. Not to mention we use a 5.0" velocity stack.
Thanks for considering our products. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks,
Michael

I've decided and bought Harman motive CAI put on my 2012 GSR stock. To be honest don't feel any power gain but that's not what I was going for. I wanted some noise. When driving normal street or highway the car is quite. When you punch it a little bit at 3k RPM you hear air being sucked in, if you drop paddle or switch gears you do hear BOV, it turns heads around on the street to look at you what car you drive and if you reach 5k RPM you hear turbo spoling. I'm a daily driving and don't want too loud but this is perfect to get some noise and enjoy the car. Would post a pic just don't know how to yet. New to forums
I am running a Synapse DV in push mode and highly recommend it as do some others here but like others have stated it may not be at the top of the list. Upgrade paths are well documented here.
Do not overlook the SpeedCircuit CAI with an AEM pre-filter (keeps the water out) and install the OEM driver side fog-light mesh or fog delete kit for additional airflow. Intake temps stay relatively close to ambient outdoor temps since it is in thedriver-side wheelwell and not in the engine bay.
