Will my car run with new & upgraded injectors...?

I was told that the car won't turn on, or run for that matter, if I install my ID1000s. That seems ludicrous to me. But this is coming from a well respected tuning shop...I had to ask the people who have already installed them. I can change these things in my driveway, I'm relatively mechanically inclined. Thoughts?

If your car is tuned on stock injectors and you put those 1000cc in withut tuning it again, then yes your car will turn on and run. But it will have so much fuel your cyl wall will wash out in short order.

They're right, your car will hardly run if you just throw in ID1000's without tuning for them right away. Like Ev0ikon said, you could potentially wash down your cylinder walls and mess up your rings. Either do it at the shop, or have them install them.

If you have a cobb accessport, have them send you a map. For the Id 1000 inj ao you can save on labor.

No AP. I didn't bother. Open source is the way to go. I like the vehicle-specific idea. Thanks everyone. I'm gonna drive three hours to the shop then get a hotel and do them in the parking lot
